Joanna Leigh

Jo believes in the power of sport to inspire, show leadership and positively influence agendas much wider than competition and is particularly passionate about sport showing leadership around environmental sustainability.

Jo is currently working with a number of thinkBeyond clients to support them to develop and deliver on their sustainability strategies, including areas such as sustainable management systems, carbon management, reporting and stakeholder engagement.

Prior to thinkBeyond Jo worked at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games Organising Committee where she was part of their sustainability team, taking a lead in delivering the Games carbon management approach and carbon footprint measurement, as well as supporting the Games wider sustainability commitments.

Jo studied Geography Bsc at the University of Bristol and is also a former Great Britain and England Hockey Player.
